Cold Chain Systems Integrator Standardizes on MENGWEI Across Multiple Projects
“Predictability is the product, as much as the chemistry is.”- Project Manager
Challenge
A cold chain infrastructure builder in Dhaka undertakes multi-site cold storage and food processing facility projects across Bangladesh. PU pipe insulation and PU sandwich panel systems are core to every project. Previous overseas suppliers created inconsistent supply: batch quality drifted between shipments, lead times slipped during project peaks, and FOB-to-arrival timelines were not reliable enough for planning.
For a customer running 4-6 construction projects at once, supply unpredictability is not an inconvenience. It multiplies delays.
Approach
We established a fixed monthly shipping cadence from Shanghai to Chittagong, with two product lines on standing PO: PU pipe insulation system and rigid PU sandwich panel system. Each shipment included documentation pre-routed to the customer's clearing agent, and batch-to-batch consistency was validated by QC reports tied to each shipment.
Outcome
- Monthly recurring shipment schedule maintained for 14+ consecutive months
- Batch-to-batch density variation kept within +/- 3 kg/m³ across all shipments
- Customer standardizing MENGWEI PU systems across multiple parallel cold-storage projects
- Application teams trained remotely on cream time, gel time, mixing ratio variance, and humidity-driven adjustments
- Customer planning now uses MENGWEI lead time as a reliable schedule input
