Mattress Manufacturer Establishes Consistent Polyether Supply Despite Logistics Complexity
“They speak our language, both technically and literally.”- Procurement Lead
Challenge
A mattress and furniture foam manufacturer in central Russia needed stable supply of high-resilience flexible polyether polyols and POP graft polyols for its slabstock production line. Western European sourcing had become complicated by logistics and currency considerations. The customer needed a long-term Chinese supplier capable of Russian-language technical communication, flexible payment structures, and reliable rail and sea shipping.
Many Chinese suppliers offered the products. Few offered the operational fit.
Approach
Our sales team includes Russian-speaking technical staff who handled communication, documentation, and follow-up natively in Russian. We coordinated shipping schedules with the customer's preferred forwarder, accommodated the preferred payment structure across the first three shipments, and provided GOST-style technical data alongside standard TDS.
Outcome
- Recurring polyol supply established across standard flex polyether and POP grades
- All technical documentation delivered in Russian: TDS, SDS, and certificates of analysis
- Shipping schedule maintained via combined rail freight and sea route
- After minor adjustments, foam density of 28-32 kg/m³ and resilience of 45-55% stayed within target specs
- Continuous supply mode for 18 months
